About
westafricabound is a blog about situations, circumstances and experiences that I have in my work as ELCA Global Mission Area Director for Madagascar, West and Central Africa. I will begin by talking about impressions and feelings I have about this work. I hope to also tell you about my interactions with the people I meet, including global personnel, partners and those in companion churches as I travel to Rwanda, Madagascar, Central and West Africa. My goal is to share my love for this vocation and the global work that I am privileged to do as I attempt to “touch lives for the flourishing of human community.”

I am Jay Johnson. I am a non affiliated volunteer in Nigeria working with the LCCN. When asked I assist the Minneapolis Synod or Global Health Ministries but I do not work for them. I am partially self financed and also financed by Citizens Into Action of Minnesota (CIA). I am the main funder of CIA. I saw your blog on Joe Troester Facebook. I figured I should introduce myself and also ask your name. I have not found any info about you on your blog. I am currently in Jimeta through the convention and GHM Pump Repair Training Class. I leave in late March in hopes of getting home before my first Grandbaby is born. Will you be coming the the LCCN National Convention in two weeks? My blog is at http://jayinnigeria2013.blogspot.com
